I stood near the Wailing Wall, my mind in pensive reflection.  Surrounding me was an other-worldly hum of Hebrew prayers ascending towards heaven.  Were they prayers of anguish, sorrow, ecstasy, delight or the prayers of a tzadik atoning for the entire world?  I could not understand, neither comprehend but only perceive.

It was in 1756 that the Synod of Constantinov in modern Ukrainia sought the assistance of Rabbi Emden for his skills to suppress the Shabbatean movement.  The foundational messianic thrust of the Shabbateans came from reinterpretation of the mystical book called the Zohar.  In spite of his piercing and sometimes caustic spirit, there was one attribute that all of his contemporaries yielded to his opinion; his critical power of analysis based upon his strict foundation of Orthodox Judaism

This quest led Emden to study the foundations of all messianic movements.  Here is where he began a thorough analysis of the historical roots of Christianity.  Here is where he sought to discover the original intention of the Jewish messiah, Yahshua ben Yosef (Jesus son of Joseph) and the Pharisee Shaul (later the Apostle Paul) who became Yahshua’s disciple and Apostle to the Gentiles.

Rabbi Emden then came to the conclusion that Jesus and his Apostle to the Gentiles (Paul) lived their lives completely in harmony with the Torah and the Halakha (how to keep the Torah and the full “letter of the Law”).  He also came to believe that it was the intention of Jesus to break the bondage of the lights of Torah and scatter them to the entire Gentile world on the ancient rabbinic commands called the Noahide Laws(Click to Open the Article, “Rabbi Harvey Falk studies a Talmudic scholar’s opinion on “Jesus the Nazarene the defender of Beit Hillel (School of Hillel)”)

Rabbi Jacob Emden(1697--1776) was one of the leading Torah authorities of the past several centuries. Historians of the rabbinate have often compared him to Maimonides, both having written on all branches of Jewish knowledge, and both having shared a pragmatic and even innovative approach. Even those who disagreed with him sought his opinion, and he is read with interest to this day. Thus, Moses Mendelssohn, founder of the Haskalah (Enlightenment) movement, wrote to him as "your disciple, who thirsts for your words."

Although Emden did not approve of the Hasidic movement--which had its beginnings in his time--his books are highly regarded amongst Hasidim. R. M. Sofer referred to him as a "prophet" (Halam Sofer 6:59). Thirty-one works were published during his lifetime, ten posthumously while others remain in manuscript. In his time, he was a fearless champion of Orthodox Judaism. (Reprinted from the Journal of Ecumenical Studies, 19:1, Winter 1982)

Like the day of September 11, 2001, when the “eyes of the world” were transfixed upon American, they were once again transfixed this time upon the Middle East at the unfolding drama of conflict and terror.  The headlines of the international press were screaming, “World War III has begun.” There were visions of a new war with missiles and “smart bombs” flying overhead and when it was over the populations of Galilee and Beirut were especially scarred with devastation and destruction.  Many minds again turned to the “prophets of Israel” as the streams of prophecy were beginning to merge into the cascading rapids of the final drama of this prophetic age.  The fact that is that this war was started by client ally of Russia and Iran when a commando operation of Hezbollah breached the border “walls” of Northern Israel and captured two Israeli soldiers only added a prophetic layer to the Jewish day of the 17th of Tammuz(Click to Open the Letter, Zechariah 9 – The Lord of Hosts come to Reclaim Damascus

Before we begin this awesome oracle of the God of Israel and study it in depth, it is important to stand back and look at it from the viewpoint of the eagle soaring in the heavens, the astronauts circling our globe or trying to reach into the vision of the Almighty One. The Lord of hosts will be re-introducing His “Word” into the lives and consciousness not only of Israel, the entire Middle East but the entire world.  The land of Israel is the stage for the Grand Finale as all the streams of prophesies that were given to the prophets of Israel reach their final conclusion

We find the written “Word” given to the Israelites at the base of that mount called Sinai. We later find the “Word” in the flesh given to the remnant of the Israelites, the Jews in Judea at the apex of the last great empire of the ancient world: Rome.  The hand of the Lord that molded the geo-political stage of the world into the greatest era of peace, the Pax Romana of Caesar Augustus, sent His Son on a “salvation” mission to this planet earth.  At that time something happened:…(Click to Open the Letter, The God of Israel wants Damascus to be One of His ‘Zions’”)

Ahmadinejad: Conditions for Removal of Israel Are at Hand- July 10, 2006

Lekarev Report - Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, clearing up any ambiguity in previous calls to “wipe Israel off the map,” uses an Arabic word for the removal of body hair to describe his plans for Israel. “All the conditions for the removal of the Zionist regime are at hand,” Ahmadinejad told an Arab Conference of Iraqi Neighbors meeting on Saturday. For the first time, he employed the Arabic word ezaleh, which is used to describe the irreversible removal of body hairs.

“Nations in the region will be more furious every day. It won’t take long before the wrath of the people turns into a terrible explosion that will wipe the Zionist entity off the map,” (Click to Open the Article, “Summer 2006, Prelude to the Israeli-Hezbollah War

Nasrallah: Hit Beirut? We'll Hit Tel Aviv – August 4, 2006

Lekarev News - Israel Air Force warplanes this morning struck three bridges linking Beirut to northern Lebanon, in the strongest attacks yet on the north of the country. The latest IAF bombardment came a day after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned that if the IDF attacks central Beirut, his followers would fire rockets on Tel Aviv. However, Nasrallah also said - for the first time since fighting began 22 days ago - that Hezbollah would stop firing rockets on northern Israel in return for an end to air strikes throughout Lebanon. ELECTION 2006 – April 28, 2006

Lekarev - Amid 85 terror warnings this morning, Israelis have begun to vote for their new Prime Minister and Knesset. Polls opened at 7:00 am and by 10:00 am only 10% of registered voters had cast their ballots. In order to ensure the celebration is not spoiled, security forces have deployed in force across the country, with police declaring the highest state of alert and sending about 22,000 officers to boost security across Israel.

I am counted among those 10% as I walked the one block to the polling station in my neighborhood about 9 am and cast my ballot - with a prayer for all Israel to choose wisely and in accordance with the plan of Hashem. I must say it was an exciting moment - my first time to vote in a general election as an Israeli citizen. Now we wait for the results which are to be officially announced at 5 am tomorrow morning, Israeli time.

82% Solar Eclipse Envelopes Israel in Brief Darkness as the Jews vote at the Polls - March 29, 2006

Arutz Sheva (IsraelNationalNews) - A 82% solar eclipse enveloped Israel in sudden darkness Wednesday. The eclipse began at 11:37 AM, peaked at 12:58, and lasted until 2:13 PM. The following are pictures from the eclipse. As Israel digested the results of Tuesday's election, the sky went dark, the sun was slowly blocked out, temperatures dropped and animals howled, barked and crowed across the Land of Israel.

An eclipse occurs when the moon passes between Earth and the sun during daylight hours, causing its shadow to pass across the planet. Viewed from inside the moon's shadow on Earth, the moon is exactly the right size to
completely block the sun. From Israel, Wednesday's eclipse blocked 82% of the sun.

The moon's shadow began in Brazil, crossed the Atlantic, Ghana, Nigeria and Chad. The shadow of the moon then passed by way of the Mediterranean across southeast Turkey and continued until Siberia.

It's a Win and a Loss At the Same Time – March 29, 2006

Lekarev - Official election results were announced this morning and Ehud Olmert is Israel's new Prime Minister. Kadima gained control of 28 of the Knesset's 120 seats, far less than Olmert and Kadima officials had hoped for. The Labor Party led by Amir Peretz swept up 20 seats while the Likud came in fifth - a stinging rejection - with the ultra orthodox party, Shas, gaining third place with 13 seats, Israel Beitenu with 12 and only 11 for Likud, which has dominated Israeli politics for several years.

Already last night TV commentators were blaming Likud's poor showing at the polls on the turmoil of the past few months - first, the Gaza Disengagement carried out by Ariel Sharon as a Likud Prime Minister, followed by Sharon's bolting of the Likud to form a new party, Kadima. These were two blows that the party did not recover from in time for this election. Too much of the population is disenchanted with Likud, even though some admitted before the election that Netanyahu was right about being strong against Hamas. Palestinians Celebrating "Naqba" - the Catastrophe – May 15, 2006

Lekarev - During his speech today marking the anniversary of what Arabs call the "Nakba" ( the Catastrophe of the establishment of Israel) Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called for Israel to return to the negotiating table. Abbas also urged Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip to halt rocket attacks on Israel. He said the violence encourages Israel to step up its military activity and proceed with unilateral plans to impose a border on the Palestinians.

Israel has said there can be no peace talks until the new Hamas-led Palestinian government renounces violence and recognizes Israel's right to exist. Abbas has been urging Hamas to soften its line, but so far been unsuccessful.

The Palestinians celebrate this day each year with rallies, marches and mourning.

Hamas Leader Urges All Palestinians to Unite, Go Underground for Guerilla War Against Israel - May 14, 2006

Lekarev - DEBKAfile has posted a thorough report on a video conference in which a Hamas leader sternly and clearly instructs the leaders of the various Palestinian groups to put aside their differences, unite and prepare for a guerilla war against Israel. Prof. Abdel al Sather Qassam, university lecturer at Nablus a-Najah University, is a little- known figure to the outside world. However Israeli intelligence rates him as Hamas’ senior strategic ideologue and a highly influential voice in the Palestinian terror movement at large. I encourage you to click below and read Debka's report. You need to be informed!

Palestinian Cartoon Shows Contempt for Symbol of Democracy - June 1, 2006

Arutz Sheva (IsraelNationalNews) - A Palestinian Authority child is depicted urinating on the Statue of Liberty in the May 25th issue of Al-Risala, a Hamas weekly newspaper. Palestinian Media Watch reports that in this week’s cartoon, the Statue of Liberty is holding a book entitled “Democracy.” PA media have consistently targeted the Statue of Liberty in the past, according to PMW. The Statue of Liberty, also known as Lady Liberty, is an internationally-recognized American symbol of freedom and democracy. Such ideas are apparently anathema to the PA; at a rally in March 2006, the newspaper Al-Hayat Al Jadida accused the West of “trying to penetrate Islamic youth with dubious things such as the ideas of democracy." “Ask in My Name…I have Overcome the World”

In the Footsteps of the Master

John 16:26 - “In that Day you will Ask in My Name”

The Last Supper was over.  The moments of intimacy with the Davidian prince in this upper chamber was only highlighted that they were dining right over the tomb of their most famous Israeli king, David the son of Jesse.   Jesus was now on a countdown with His own destiny

The threats from the Sadducean high priestly family of the House of Ananus and his high priest son-in-law, Caiphas, were rampant throughout the city. Their location was guarded by the Essene guardians of David’s tomb.  Now it was time to talk in the relaxing atmosphere of intimacy

Quickly Jesus began talking. Like a father giving his last instructions to his sons; a sequential monologue began: a new commandment of love, Jesus’ relationship with His Father in heaven, the promised help by the Holy Spirit, Jesus as the “Vine”, and the necessity of obedience of the halakha of the observant Jews. This was now redefined in the spirit of love, how the closer they come in relationship with His Father, the more rejection they will receive from the world.  He finished with the need to trust the “Spirit” to guide them in the future times of peril.

The message of Jesus seemed almost surreal, “more than real” to the disciples.  He was so alive and vibrant.   Now the whole evening was spent talking about His soon departureHow? Why? What are we to do?  The evening floated between literal reality and mystical surrealism

Suddenly the evening discussion changed.  His voice lowered, pensive, thoughtful and pointed(Click to Open the Article, Ask in My Name…I have Overcome the World

Message from BibleSearchers

BibleSearchers scans the world for information that has relevance on the time of the end.  It is our prayer that this will allow the believers in the Almighty One of Israel to “watch and be ready”.  Our readiness has nothing to do trying to halt the progression of evil on our planet earth.  In our readiness, we seek to be prepared for the coming of the Messiah of Israel so that goodness and evil will be manifested in its fullest.  Our preparation is a pathway of spiritual readiness for a world of peace.  Our defender is the Lord of hosts. The time of the end suggests that the Eternal One of Israel’s intent is to close out this chapter of earth’s history so that the perpetrators of evil, those that seek power, greed and control, will be eliminated from this planet earth.  The wars of the heavens are being played out on this planet earth and humans will live through it to testify of the might, power, justice and the love of the God of Israel.  In a world of corruption and disinformation, we cannot always know what the historical truth is and who is promoting evil or mis-information.  We cannot guarantee our sources but we will always seek to portray trends that can be validated in the Torah and the testimony of the prophets of the Old and the New Testament.
