The Jewish Concepts of the Coming of the Messiah

“I Have Just Seen the Messiah”

Senior Sephardi Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri

If the announcement during his seminary session on September 14, 2005 with his students was not startling enough, Baruch Gordon with Israel National News on October 19, 2005 who wrote the following article called, Leading Kabbalist Urges Jews to Israel - More Disasters Coming which gave the following account is cryptic and surprisingly literal.

Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri - "With the help of G- d, the soul of the Mashiach has attached itself to a person in Israel."

This concept is electric to the Jewish mind and startling to the Christian mind.  What about those disciples of Jesus the Nazarene?  One concept is stark and clear, the Jewish concept of the return of the Messiah is clearly natural and this-worldly while the Christian concept of the return of the Messiah is supernatural and other-worldly.

The Jewish sages believe that the messiah of Israel will be fully human.  The God-man blend of the Messiah as seen by many Christians is foreign to the ears of those who believe in the One Monotheistic God of the Universe. Yet the power of the Jewish Tzaddik (righteous one) as an agent of the Almighty One of Israel to intervene and stand as a representative for a human sinner is the closest compromise that a Jewish sage would consider as the role of a messiah of Israel.

The Messiah to the Jewish sages as such is fully human, but the Almighty One of Israel gives to him an elevated soul, the Neshama Soul, known as the Breath of God.  This is the same “Breath of Life” that Elohim (God) breathed into Adam’s nostrils that gave him life as an elevated soul known as the “Son of God” in the Garden of Eden.

The levels of the souls that a human can have to the Jewish mind are five.  They are:

Body or Animal Awareness --> Emotional Awareness -->  Spiritual Awareness -->
Mystical States and Visions --> Glorified State (Translation)

The first level of the human soul is the Nefesh, the animal soul of the atomic world.  This soul we share with all the rest of the animal kingdom on this literal physical planet.  The second level of the human soul is the Ruach or the soul of the spirit or emotional awarenessThis is the spirituality of man that with the Holy Spirit can reach transcendent states beyond ordinary awareness. The third level of the human soul is the Neshama, the elevated state on the level of the angelic world, the spirit world that the soul of man and the Spirit of God meet face to face. A person who lives in Neshama is worthy of the world to come.  The fourth level of the human soul is the Chayah, the world of emanation and the altered state of existence that the prophets of old achieved when brought to the presence of God.  The fifth and highest level of the human soul is the Yehudah, the world of the will where the human comes into oneness with the Divine.

With these in mind, the soul of the Messiah is given to the future Messiah by the Almighty One, according to the Jewish sages.  Not long after Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri announced that soul of the Mashiach has attached itself to a person in Israel”, he was in a private audience with an elderly “talmid chacham” or a “wise student” which is usually a description of a good Torah scholar.  Let us read of this encounter.

On October 31, 2005, an account of a surreal event was posted on the Moshiah and Geula End of Days Forum titled, “Rabbi Kaduri met the Moshiah (Messiah).”

Moshiah and Geula - The venerable Kabbalist took the hand of his visitor, a talmid chacham beyond his years, which were less than half of the rabbi blessing him. "May Hashem guide you," the 105-year Kabbalist began to bless. "May He provide you with the proper understanding and courage to do His work on His behalf, saving His children from further despair."

The middle-aged rabbi looked up slowly. He had been looking towards the ground with head bowed in reverence to the great sage. He had come for a blessing for Torah learning, like the many who remained in the small and crowded waiting room behind him, and for the ability to judge matters of his congregation accurately. However, the sage seemed to have gone far beyond this and he raised his eyes to understand why.

However, the elderly rabbi said no more.
Their eyes met, and immediately the younger rabbi felt pierced by the Kabbalists deep and probing vision. However, at the same time he felt his warmth and affection and was mesmerized somewhat. Several seconds passed before he once again became aware of the passage of time and knew that he had to move on.

But those eyes. They were saying something. What was it? What were they saying that could not be articulated by words? What message was supposed to be communicated . . . or was communicated . . . on the level of the soul perhaps? What did he see . . . in me?  He felt spiritually penetrated. And he felt different but he did not know why. Something had been activated inside of him but he did not know what.

He slowly and gently pulled his hand from that of the Kabbalists. He began to turn around to go, but was compelled to look once again into the eyes of the great rabbi. This time he did not turn around again, but walked away backwards, never taking his eyes away from the sage until he had passed through the door and was out of sight. Then he paused once, looked back into the direction from which he had come, turned around and left . . . a different person.

In the meantime, the rabbi's assistance returned. "Shall I invite the next person to come in?" he inquired, sensing that the sage was somewhat distracted, no affected. There was a slight pause. The rabbi's assistance was oldish, loyal, and rarely paid attention to the faces of those whom he ushered in to his master's study for sagely advice, a blessing, or both. All were good qualities, except that the gabbai (attendant)  had wished he had for once paid closer attention to the face of the previous visitor. For, what his master said he had never heard him utter before, and what a difference it would have made if only he could put a face to it:

"I have just seen the face of Moshiach."

It has been suggested by the rabbinic students that only Rabbi Kaduri could recognize a “Messiah” in his presence as they both live in the world of Neshama or the elevated state when a human is in touch with the spiritual world of the angels.  When their eyes met, they connected spiritually, a connection that is like seeing but only with “spiritual eyes.”  To the western mind, this type of event moves beyond our comfort level because with our autonomy and individuality, we rarely are able to give up of our “selves” and live in the world of the spirit.

Yet, such an event was recorded in the New Testament when the ‘eyes’ of a prophetic sage’s voice “crying in the wilderness” met the ‘eyes’ of a talmid chacham, a young man who even when he was twelve years old the high priests and elders of the Great Sanhedrin in Jerusalem made the comments when this young Torah student was being interviewed. As the account of this interview went:

Luke 2:46-47 – “Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers.”

A prophet of Israel, who many felt carried also the mantle of Elijah, spent his life teaching and baptizing the Jewish people in the Jordan River.  Yet with every message he stated:

Matthew 3:11-12 – “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier that I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carryHe will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”

And one day, this young Torah scholar came from Galilee to be baptized by John the Baptizer.

Matthew 3:14-17 – “And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”  But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.”  Then he allowed Him. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.  And suddenly a voice came from heaven saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Yahshua ben Yosef (Jesus son of Joseph) was a young Torah scholar, a rabbi in the ordinary sense of things but a birth most extraordinary.  Yet His soul was only known by His Father in heaven.  The record of His life and ministry leaves no doubt that He had the soul of Neshama. When alone on the hillside, his elevated state of mental activity did reach into the angelic world where His soul and His “Father” met face to face.

When the eyes of John the Baptist and Jesus the Nazarene connected, something happened.  This time, it was not that the “Sage of the Wilderness” invigorated the soul of Yahshua but that Jesus with his penetrating eyes revealed to the “Baptizer” that John was not worthy to be baptized this young man.  There was something elevating.  Something so different!

The Jews today again are looking for someone very human, but with an elevated state of being that can truly reach to the throne of heaven.  In the Messianic redemptive vision leading up to the revelation of the Messiah, they feel that he will be the first true modern prophet.  In the wake of the progressing “War of Gog from the Land of Mogog.”  There is a feeling of urgency that the Messiah is truly here, alive and well.  He will be one in which the event of the expulsion of the settlers from their homes in Gaza, N’vei Dekalim, will not only affect him but will truly invigorate him to his prophetic and messianic duty.

The ancient rabbinic sage, Rashi, in his commentary on Daniel 12:1 stated concerning the Messiah.

Daniel 12:1 – “Now at that time, Michael, the great prince, who stands over the children of your people, will be silent, and it will be a time of distress that never was since a nation existed until that time, and at that time, your people will escape, everyone who is found inscribed in the book.

Now at that time, Michael… will be silent He will be silent like a mute person, for he will see the Holy One, blessed be He, judging by Himself and saying, “How will I destroy a great nation like this for the sake of Israel?” and it will be a time of distress in heaven there will be accusations against Torah scholars, [and there will be] plunderers and plunderers of plunderers, as our Rabbis said in the Agadah in the last chapter of Kethuboth (112b):

Kethuboth 112b - “Your people will escape. The kingdom of Gog will be destroyed and Israel will escape, everyone who is found inscribed in the book until the beast is slain and the high holy ones will receive the kingdom.’  All will be fulfilled.”

The Messiah of Israel

In Judaism, the Messiah (מָשִׁיחַ "maschiach or anointed one", Standard Hebrew, מלך המשיח Méle haMašía, Tiberian Hebrew Méle hamMāšîª), Arabic المسيح;) literally means “King Anointed.”  To the orthodox Jewish followers of Yahshua ben Yosef, the Jesus of the New Testament, He was recognized as a human anointed by God of Israel.  They hoped that as the Maschiach of Yisra’el, He would be recognized in 1st century Judea to be the literal savior of the Jewish people.  The anticipated Messiah in the future is also looked upon as a liberator from the nations of “Edom” and the Amalek Moslems who continue to spout “blood oaths” against the Jewish people in our modern geo-political world.

The Jewish Scripture in the time of Jesus was the Old Testament and the books known today as the Apocrypha. The Apocrypha was written in the interim period between the return of the Jewish people from the land of Babylon and Persia and the era of Roman Judea during the time of the birth, ministry, dead and resurrection of Jesus in Galilee and Jerusalem.  Predominately works of history such as the Books of the Maccabees and the Book of Esdras, the Apocrypha served as the bridge between these two eras and made the scriptures of the Old and the reNewed Testaments one continuous whole.

Elijah Welcomes the Messiah by Rabbi Karro

Since all scripture was expected to be built upon the Torah and the Prophets and the Writings, it was expected by the followers of Jesus in the Nazarene Ecclesia that their testimony in the New Testament including the writings of the orthodox Hasidic Pharisee student of Gamaliel at Bet Hillel, the Apostle Paul, that the New (reNewed) Testament would also be approved by Jewish halachah (Jewish law) that was based upon the foundation of the Torah.

In the time of the Hebrew Nazarene Ecclesia, the “Jerusalem Church” in the Book of Acts, Yahshua ben Yosef (Jesus son of Joseph) was considered to be the messiah of the Jews.  Throughout the lives of the apostles they expected His return to be soon.  This Jewish messiah was later transformed by the apostate Roman Christian Church in the 4th century into a Roman Hellenistic messiah. This suggests that the Messiah of modern Christianity is somewhat different than the 1st century Jewish messiah, Jesus the Nazarene.

In the Bible today, the word “Christ” written in Greek as Χριστός, Khristos, was called the “anointed one” which is literally translated as the maschiach (messiah).  But in English today, it is translated Christ. Whereas the word messiah (Μεσσίας, Messias) is used only twice in the New Testament (John 1: 41 and 4:25), there are thirty nine references to the messiah as Christ (Khristos).

Yet in the Islamic faith, Jesus who was known in Arabic as Isa (عيسى `Īsā), often seen as Isa, son of Mary (`Īsā ibn Miryam) and is considered to be one of the Prophets of Islam. This Isa was also considered to be the Maseeh, or Messiah.  According to the Quran:

Al-Qur’an 3:45 – “Behold! the angels said: "O Mary, Allah gives you glad tidings of a Word from Him; his name will be the Messiah Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.”

According to the Qur’an, during the end of days, the return of the messiah and prophet Isa (Jesus) will come after the arrival of the Islamic messianic figure called the Mahdi.

The Jewish conception of the messiah is more complex and its origin is not fully known.  During their exile in the land of Persia, some scholars have speculated that the Jewish concept came from their exposure to the Zoroastrian idea of Saoshyant.  This Persian messiah some scholars think originated by a Jewish exile and became a part of the Jewish “imperial religion” of the Achaemenian Empire of the Persians in the days of Queen Esther.  This Persian messiah looks forward to one who will “make existence brilliant” or literally “one who brings benefit” and final judgment upon all humanity and bring peace and harmony to the entire world.  As stated in the Ahuna Vairya prayer:

Yasna 27:13 - "Since He is (the One) to be chosen by the world therefore the judgment emanating from truth itself (to be passed) on the deeds of good thought of the world, as well as the power, is committed to Mazda Ahura (Divine Wisdom) whom (people) assign as a shepherd to the poor.”

Jewish Eschatology

Jewish eschatology is centered around three major premises: The coming of the Maschiach of Yisra’el (messiah of Israel), the continuation of the lineage of King David and the World to Come called the Olam Haba the Hebrew for the “afterlife.”  This eschatology was formed on the vision of the prophets of Israel and Judah and molded by the Rabbinic understanding after the fall of Jerusalem in 70 CE.

Understandably, the rabbinic interpretation was influenced by the School of Hillel which the “Divine Voice” gave affirmation after the fall of Jerusalem that this was to be the voice of true Judaism.  After this date the School of Shammai virtually disappeared from the rabbinic influence.

What is little understood is that the rabbinic influence on Jewish Torah observance was molded by the School of Hillel before it disappeared from Jewish religious politics in 20 BCE.  At that time the School of Hillel became associated with the Hassidim or the Essenes between 20 BCE and 70 CE.  As such, the Torah interpretation of the School of Hillel blended with the Jewish eschatology of the Essenes and the Hassidims. Together they became the foundation for the Hebrew Nazarene Ecclesia formed by the followers of the Davidian and Zadokian claimant to the throne of David, Yahshua ben Yosef.

Modern Jewish eschatology is centered around the following:

·        All the children of Jacob (the House of Judah and the House of Joseph/Ephraim) will return back to the Torah.

·        They will return to the Land of Israel (aliyah).

·        The Temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem.

·        The Land of Israel will be free with no need for national defenses among the rest of the nations.

·        The era of war and famine will end and an era of peace and prosperity like a renewed Eden will come on this planet earth.

While the pre-millennial eschatology of Christians is centered on the supernatural and other-worldly, the Jewish understanding of the messiah is formulated in non-supernatural terms. While both models appear to be exclusive of one another, there is nothing in the entire scripture that states that both models, supernatural and literal  cannot exist at the same time.  The great sage of Judaism, Maimonides stated the case for the Jewish model on eschatology very well.

Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (Maimonides) - "The Messianic age is when the Jews will regain their independence and all return to the land of Israel. The Messiah will be a very great king, he will achieve great fame, and his reputation among the gentile nations will be even greater than that of King Solomon. His great righteousness and the wonders that he will bring about will cause all peoples to make peace with him and all lands to serve him.... Nothing will change in the Messianic age, however, except that Jews will regain their independence. Rich and poor, strong and weak, will still exist. However it will be very easy for people to make a living, and with very little effort they will be able to accomplish very much.... it will be a time when the number of wise men will increase...war shall not exist, and nation shall no longer lift up sword against nation

The Messianic age will be highlighted by a community of the righteous and dominated by goodness and wisdom. It will be ruled by the Messiah, a righteous and honest king, outstanding in wisdom, and close to God. Do not think that the ways of the world or the laws of nature will change, this is not true. The world will continue as it is. The prophet Isaiah predicted "The wolf shall live with the sheep, the leopard shall lie down with the kid." This, however, is merely allegory, meaning that the Jews will live safely, even with the formerly wicked nations. All nations will return to the true religion [monotheism, although not necessarily Judaism] and will no longer steal or oppress. Note that all prophecies regarding the Messiah are allegorical - Only in the Messianic age will we know the meaning of each allegory and what it comes to teach us. Our sages and prophets did not long for the Messianic age in order that they might rule the world and dominate the gentiles....the only thing they wanted was to be free for Jews to involve themselves with the Torah and its wisdom."  (Commentary to the Tractate Sanhedrin in the Babylonian Talmud)

The concept of the messiah according to Maimonides is accepted by the Orthodox Jews and in part by the Conservative Jews.  According to the Emet ve-Emunah, there will be a messianic era, but it may be only a personal messiah.  As stated:

Emet ve-Emunah -  “We do not know when the Messiah will come, nor whether he will be a charismatic human figure or is a symbol of the redemption of humankind from the evils of the world. Through the doctrine of a Messianic figure, Judaism teaches us that every individual human being must live as if he or she, individually, has the responsibility to bring about the messianic age.”(Emet ve-Emunah: Statement of Principles of Conservative Judaism)

Whether one Jew believes that the messiah will literally come, is only a symbolic figure of the redemption of man from genetic evil on this planet or that he will truly be a national or international leader of great charismatic power, Judaism does teach one thing:  every human being must live a life not that a messiah will come to save and change them, but that you have a responsibility to bring your live in harmony with the Almighty One of Israel and assist in bringing the messianic age to reality.  The words of Habakkuk make this a reality.

Habakkuk 2:3 – “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lieThough it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

To the Orthodox and Torah observing Jew, the many other branches of Judaism have been corrupted by taking the Torah out of Judaism.  The Reform Jew will believe in principle only in a messianic era while the Reconstructionist Jew does not believe that a personal messiah or a messianic age will come.  Rather using the best models of humanism and evolution, the process of the messianic age can bring about a world of peace with democracy.  We can see this stark contrast with the neo-com Jews in the Bush administration trying to bring a world of peace with democracy so that all men can be free.

The Maschiach ben Yosef (Messiah Son of Joseph)

The Golden Gate

Out of the failed messiahs of Jewish history, a remarkable transitions in the concepts of messianism has occurred. The prominent role of the messianic expectations in Israel today is for the revealing of the Messiah son of Joseph (Maschiach ben Yosef) which will be followed by the final Jewish messiah, the Messiah son of David (Maschiach ben David).

The Eastern Golden Gate blocked off in 1530 CE by the Turkish Islamic Governor

To Prevent the Arrival of the Jewish Messiah

The Maschiach ben Yosef is a tragic messiah who is a descendant of the House of Joseph, son of Ephraim or spiritually carries the mantle of the tzaddik (righteous) Joseph the Prime Minister of Egypt.  The tragic messiah carries with it the Isaiah theme of the Suffering Servant:

Isaiah 52:13-15, 53:1-12 (parts) – “Behold My Servant shall deal prudently; he shall be exalted and extolled and be very high…He has no form or comeliness; and when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. He is despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief, and we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.  Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted.  But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon him, and by his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way’ and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all….”

The Maschiach ben Yosef by some is seen to be a military warrior who will fight against the anti-Messiah at the time of the end.  According to the rabbis he will be recognized by the Israeli’s with “spiritual eyes.” Yet the anti-Messiah or Armilgus the evil one may not recognize him or even know when he kills him. Yet there are those rabbis who lean towards the “less-literal” interpretation. They look to the characteristics of Joseph the Prime Minister of Egypt: in the face of adversity and temptation, he never lost his fidelity to Hashem (God) nor his emunah, the belief that recognized his true reality.

This “emunah” is stated by some rabbis to be the master key to unlock the dilemmas within our lives will help us to withstand who we are and our role in the time of tribulation.  Moses was an anointed messiah and for forty years in the wilderness of Haran was in training for that role.  He did not carry the mantle of the messiah until he recognized his true reality that he was the “servant” of the God of Israel and was sent to deliver Israel.  No manner how he protested to God that he was not worthy, he could not change that divine reality.  That was Moses’ emunah, the “master key” given by God to show him his real role and destiny to delivery his people from the bondage of Egypt.

Joseph also had his emunah or divine reality. He quickly was escalated to prominent position in civil service in Egypt until his “integrity” caused him to loose his job and landed him in prison.  There in the Egyptian cell, he languished and was forgotten even by those he helped.

The day of the vision of the Pharaoh, Joseph’s life fortunes reversed.  Yet, Joseph did not receive his emunah until he saw his brothers standing before him.  This “master key” came when he suddenly knew why the Lord of hosts sent him to Egypt.  At that time he “knew” that he would be a “servant” of the God of his father Jacob in order to save them from starvation. Any Jew can be a Joseph and remain a loyal, faithful and devoted servant to Hashem their God, yet the Jew with an emunah devotion carries with him his divine mission from on high.

The wonder of Judaism is that after two thousand years the divergence and convergence of beliefs of the messiah, the idea of what is a messiah is still fluid in the Jewish mind with prominent variations.  The messiah of the Jews is truly formed out of the prophets of the Old Testament such as Isaiah and Zechariah.  They speak of a future time when not only the Jews of the House of Judah but all tribes of Israel will be redeemed, restored and returned to the Land of Israel. As a sovereign people, they will be restored as a member of the world of nations. The ruler of this sovereign land will be the Maschiach ben David (Messiah son of David).  To get to this point, all power brokers and globalist leaders who wish to dominate the nations of this earth by power, greed and control will have to be destroyed.  The literal and spiritual descendants of Amalek will be destroyed.  The literal and spiritual descendants of Esau, the Edomites of the Vatican and the western globalist forces will also be destroyed. Whatever the scenario, whoever passes the veil to the “new world order” of the millennial kingdom will have to be “safe to save.”

The diaspora experience of suffering, shame, despair and death color the Jewish  picture at the time of the end.  It also colored the same imagery of the Essenes and the Hassidim in the days of Yahshua, a recognized Torah observing Jewish messiah in the first century.

How the mission of Yahshua got corrupted by the apostate Roman Church should not detract from the fact that a majority of the Jews in the land of Judea in the 1st century CE became followers of “The Nazarene.” They had their own Sanhedrin, synagogue and an outreach ministry to the gentile nations using the Noahide Laws of Judaism by a Hassidic student of Gamaliel the Elder of the Bet Hillel (Rabbinic yeshiva of Hillel the Elder), Rabbi Shaul known to Christians as the Apostle Paul.

Over the centuries fifty messiahs have risen and fallen.  The largest and most destructive messianic revival was that of Shabbatai Zevi in 1666.  This messianic revival turns thousands of Jews into believers into Islam and Christianity and they became anti-Jews, anti-Torah and anti-God of Israel. The concept of whether the end of days will end in sweetness because of all the tears and sorrow that the Jews have suffered so far or will end in the final days with catastrophic destruction around the world, either way it will fit the apocalyptic images of the ancient prophets of Israel when all the nations of the world come to the Middle East clamoring for the control of Jerusalem.

It is true that the pictures of the Messiah in the TaNaKh (Old Testament) depict only a normal human being not even a supernatural miracle worker.  The Messiah appears to do nothing special to provoke or to usher in the messianic era except as an ‘anointed’ one who will reign as a temporal leader during the beginning years of the messianic era.  Even the concept of the Messiah as the ‘anointed’ one suggests only a very normal anointing ceremony to herald the importance of the duties of the office that he will hold, whether a king, a priest or a prophet.

While the Jews claim that their Messiah is an ordinary human, historically in the days of international chaos, destruction, suffering and despair for Jews, they also looked for a messianic miracle worker.  The visions of wanting to beat back the oppressive forces of the Babylonian and Roman armies are still imbedded clearly in their psychic.  Even if the messiah appears to be divine and holds within his being miraculous powers does that make him a messiah? What if he fails?  How do we judge failure? Is it judged only by not performing to our expectation?

In 2002, Jerry Rabow wrote a book titled, “50 Jewish Messiahs”.  Concerning the Messiah of the House of Joseph he writes:

Jerry Rabow – “The failed Messiahs of Jewish history gave rise to a remarkable variation of the basic Messiah myth: Not one, but two Messiahs will bring on the End of Days.  First, a tragic Messiah, the Messiah of the House of Joseph (through Joseph’s son, Ephraim),will appear.  This military figure will begin the battle to retake Jerusalem, but will die in the war at the hands of the military chief of evil forces, King Armilus.  Although slain, this Messiah will be resurrected upon the arrival of the Messiah of the House of David.  The appearance of the second, triumphant Messiah will unite all the peoples of the world and begin the era of messianic peace.” (Jerry Rabow, 50 Jewish Messiahs, The untold life stories of 50 Jewish Messiahs since Jesus and how they changed the Jewish, Christian and Muslim worlds, Gefen Publishing House, POB 36004, Jerusalem 91360, Israel, orders@gefenpublishing.com, 2002, page 4)

The two-Messiah concept has been found in Jewish literature as early as the 1st century BCE in portrayed in the Dead Sea Scrolls in Qumran.  The Messiah of the House of Joseph is specifically said to come from Joseph’s son, Ephraim, a biblical and prophetic figure at the time of the end who represents the ten lost tribes of the House of Israel.  This concept is fascinating in that the two Messiahs, one from the tribe of Ephraim and one from the tribe of Judah represent the final reunification of the two kingdoms of Israel and Judah

The prophet Ezekiel seems to share this concept of reunification:

Ezekiel 37:15 – “As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions.’ Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand.”

Traditionally the Jews over the centuries have wanted to see a Messiah that will not only bring a change in the world view but also to alter the oppressive conditions in which the Jews and all mankind lived.  As such, the average Jew was always attracted to the ideal of a Jewish miracle worker; a teller of stories and parables, a healer of the sick, ability to heal the pain of everyday living, psychological or physical and the capacity to sway the minds and hearts of the populous and to restore their national heritage as a free people living freely in their promised land

The concept of the Messiah ben David (Messiah son of David) was also prominent in the 1st century BCE when in the wake of Roman oppression, the Maccabean and Davidian contenders for the throne were a constant worry to the Roman and Herodian authorities. When the Essenes escaped into the wilderness in the Hassidic revolt against the temple authority, the disciples Bet Hillel and Menahem the Essenes later joining them in 20 BCE.  At that time, the polemics of division within the House of Judah was ripe for a Davidian ruler

It is interesting that out of this fervent there arose a double Davidian whose maternal side was also Zadokian (house of the high priest of Aaron through Zadok the high priest of King David) that began his rabbinic ministry about the fall of 26 CE.  The life of Yahshua ben Yosef (Jesus son of Joseph) has been a source of great acrimony between the Jews and the Christians for almost seventeen centuries.  Even though Jesu, as the Jewish writers called him, was an orthodox and fully Torah observing Jew, his followers in the Roman apostate Christian Church three centuries later,  have defined Jesus the Nazarene (Jesus of Nazareth) in Hellenistic and non-Jewish terms

Out of the messianic revival of Yahshua haMaschiach (Jesus the Messiah) in Judea that ended in his death on Pesach 30 CE, the Party of the Nazarenes eventually encompassed the Nazarenes, the Essenes and many of the disciples of Bet Hillel.  The conflict between the Nazarenes was probably more political than religious, for they all were Jews.

Whereas the Jewish people carry dual messiahs in their plan of redemption, so do the ChristiansYahshua was truly the son of Joseph yet carried the “spiritual mantle” of Joseph the viser of ancient Egypt. At the same time Yahshua was also a son of David.  He was born in the House of David from both his mother’s and his father’s side.  That he claimed to that He existed in another dimension in Shamayim (heaven) was not so unusual.  Did not Gabriel and Michael came from the same other-dimensional existence? What made Yahshua so different is that he rejected the military model of the Messiah ben Yosef (Messiah son of Joseph).  He stated that the “kingdom of God” as a life of peace and harmony started here on earth.  Also he was different in that he did not claim to be the Almighty One of Israel, the Ein Sof.  Rather He stated that He came from the Ein Sof, who was the Source of his being and whom He called, Abba.  Explainable? No, it is not explainable. This is part of the mystery of the Almighty One of Israel.

Not only did the Jews and the Christians have a two-Messiah redemption model but the Moslems, whose roots probably go to the exiled Nazarenes that moved to the Arabian desert also have a military Messiah, the Mahdi that will precede the coming of the real Muslim messiahOf all the Messiahs in history, this present era is the first in which all three religions of the Middle East, are caught up into a messianic furor. Is it any wonder that the expectations of the Jewish, Christian and Islamic messiahs will lead to a global conflict.  In the bid to take control the city of Jerusalem, the prophetic image is that all nations on this planet will surround Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:3 – “And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it (Jerusalem) away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.”

The Expulsion of the “Disciples of Elisha” from Decalim in Gaza

Dr Yokov M. Tabak wrote an interesting review of the powerful sentiments that are sweeping in vast undercurrents in the Land of Israel today.  In an article in the Israel National News titled, Exiled by Their Brethren: An Interesting Source, he defines the “blue” Israeli partisans as the Jewish people of the Political Left, who after the Gaza disengagement are reacting with pride and satisfaction.  Their satisfaction is that those “Radical Right” who await for the Messiah and see this time as the apocalyptic harbinger of the days of redemption (geula) have been thrown out of their homes and business. The stock market is surging as the materialistic Zionist state of Israel is back in the business of power, greed and control

Then there are the “orange Orthodox” partisans, who were so sure that their Messiah would honor their calls for redemption, were swept aside as exiles and cast-off as rejects by the Israeli government.  The Land of Israel has been reduced back to a role as a “bargaining chip for personal security.”  As deep depression is sweeping over the “orange revolution” adherents.  To them, from all appearances, the “Messianic ideology of the State of Israel as the ‘reishit tzemichat geulatein’", the initial flowering of our Redemption has turned out to be empty rhetoric and promises.

The promises of Hashem, the God of their forefathers, are portrayed truly as the myths of their past.   While they will eventually deal with the persecuted Jew as a political refugee, the “Land of Israel” that the Lord of hosts looks as His “vessel” that will carry the children of Jacob to their redemption is accepted by many that it will never be fulfilled.

According to Dr. Tabak, both ideologies are wrong. Yes, the destruction of the orthodox presence in the N’vei Dekalim and all the satellite communities was a part of the unfolding path of the prophet’s image of Redemption.  And so he appeals to the Torah in Deuteronomy 34:3 and with it the Talmudic interpretation in the Targum Yonatan ben Uziel that was an Aramaic sentence by sentence commentary of the Pentateuch and Prophets.

Deuteronomy 34:1-3 – “And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah that is opposite Jericho.  And God showed Him all the Land of Gilead, as far as Dan, and all of Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh and all the land of Judah, to the Western Sea, and the south, and the plain of the Valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees to Zoar.

"Ve'et hanegev ve'et ha kikar, bikat Yereicho ir hatemarim ad Tzoar."

Let us take this text (verse 3) and compare it with the Targum:

Targum Yonatan ben Uziel - "And the King of the South who joins with the King of the North to cause injury to the inhabitants of the Land (of Israel), and the Ammonites and Moabites – dwellers on the plains who cause pain to Israel, and the exile of the disciples of [the Prophet) Elijah who are exiled from the plains of Jericho, and the exile of the disciples of (the Prophet) Elisha who are exiled from the town of Dekalim by their brethren of the House of Israel, two hundred thousand, and the pain of each and every bonfire, and the disaster (caused by) Armalgus the Evil One, and the battle order of Gog, and at the time of that great agony, (the Archangel) Michael will rise up with (G-d's outstretched right) forearm to redeem."

"VeYat melich daroma di'mitchaber im melich tzifuna lechabala yatvei ar'ah, veAmonai uMoavai yatvei meishra deme'ikin lehon leYisrael, ve-yat galvat talmidei Eliahu de galan min bikata deYereicho, ve-yat galvat talmidei de'Elisha de galu min Kirvat Diklaya al yedei ahuhon beit Yisrael matan alfin guvrin, ve-yat akat kol dar vedar, ufuranut Armalgus reshia ve sidrei krava d'Gog, uve'idan tzaarah rabah hahi, Michael yekum bideraa leferuka."

Let us look at the Jewish rabbinic understanding of these geo-political events that are swirling around our lives.  Let us first look at prophetic picture of the King of the North and the King of the South in Daniel.

Daniel 11:40 – “At the time of the end the king of the South shall attack him; and the king of the North shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter the countries, over whelm them, and pass through

Grief on the Expulsion of the Jews from Gaza by an IDF soldier

Here we set the stage for the sages of the chosen ones who are, like the days of old, found themselves caught in the midst of global warfare.  Here is the Et Ketz called the “time of the end” where there will be back and forth conflict with overt and covert warfare.  It will be both conventional and psychological warfare as its most refined state in military history.

As we compare and analyze the Targum statement and compare it with the promises of the God of Israel to Moses, we find one by one we can now in these closing days identifying the key participants in the Final Dramatic Act of the Drama of the Ages.

Key Participants in the Targum Yonatan and How they relate to the Time of the End

The King of the North = Edom = Western Globalist of the United States and the European Union

The King of the South = Ismael = the consortium of the Islamic states in the Middle East

In this last segment we give credit to Dr. Yacov Tabak, born and educated in Baltimore, Maryland and now an industrial environmental chemist in Israel for the last thirty years.  His incredible insight into the prophetic fulfillment of the Talmudic commentary Targum Yonatan ben Uziel, allows insight into the merging of various prophesies in Daniel, Zechariah and Ezekiel.  He in turn gives credit to Shabtai Shiloh in Jerusalem whose research stimulated this study.  In conclusion, Dr. Tabok quotes:

Dr. Yacov Tabok – “And so, the "blue" camp, supporters of the "Disengagement", should not rejoice yet. The Messianic redemptive vision, leading to the Messiah, the first modern true prophet, who will begin to function in the wake of the War of Gog and Magog, is alive and well, and is supported, not negated, by the events at N'vei Dekalim and its environs.

The "orange Orthodox" camp, resolute opponents of Disengagement, may take heart. We mourn the terrible injustice and privation visited upon thousands of innocent citizens whose only "sin" has been intense idealism. However, what has happened to them may well be a harbinger of wonderful times to come. May they be comforted and their pain assuaged. And may all of Israel be blessed from On High.”

Today the Armilius is being identified yet his entourage are more likely the Christian Frankists and the Jewish non-Jew, called the American Neo-coms.  It is they who hate the God of Israel and are willing to sell the Land of Israel for a cup of pottage.  The final Exodus to the Promise Land will be agitated by the “mixed multitude” or the assimilated Jews who hold their allegiance with the Golden Internationale and the globalist interests of the Weishaupt’s Jesuit Illuminate, the Rothschild’s global monetary empire, the Sabbatean Jews and the Scottish Masonry as the Black Internationale.

The gematria of the word Armalgus, the “misrendering” of the word Armilius is 340.  This gematria matches with the gematria of a most prominent senior Israeli politician over the last two decades and it was not Ariel Sharon.

The Foolish Shepherd – Ariel Sharon

On January 16, 2005, Dov Bar-Lieb posted the article titledTravail of The Shepherd" on his blog site called the Years of Awe.” In this article he looked at the political events in the Book of Zechariah as they center on a very important leader in the Land of Israel at the time of the end.  This leader was called a “foolish Shepherd” who would lead the Jewish people in the Land of Israel almost to ruin and destruction.  The Jewish prophecy watchers in Israel call the “foolish shepherd” as the “last, long-term, semi-independent ruler of the lowly pre-messianic state of ingathered Jewish exiles.” Let us look at the stark description of the person the Prophet Zechariah calls the “foolish shepherd.”

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon

Zechariah 11:15-   – “And the Lord said to me, ‘Next, take for yourself the implements of a foolish shepherd. For indeed I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are cut off, nor seek the young, nor heal those that are broken, nor feed those that still stand.  But he will eat the fat and tear their hooves in pieces.”

Here the HaRoeh, which is the Hebrew for “The Shepherd” is part of the Erev Rav (mixed multitude). He surrounds himself with those in whom he seeks their flattery and acclaim.  The prophetic shadow picture of this “foolish shepherd” matches the latter life of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Here we see him as he abandoned his early life of helping the newly arrived immigrants to seek aliyah (the spiritual and physical return) to the Land of Israel into settlements throughout the Shomron (ancient Samaria) and the Gaza Strip. The biography of this Shepherd is a national best seller in Israel.  According to Dov Bar-Lieb, the “profits from the sale of this book are likely to end up in the pockets of two hard-core criminals, Omir and Gilad Sharon,” the sons of Ariel Sharon.

Later in Zechariah we see again this shepherd with his gever amiti, (the man who is his colleague) as the Lord speaks:

Zechariah 13:7 -Awake, O sword against My shepherd, against the (gever amiti) the man who is his colleague, saith the L-rd.

What a picture of the last day of Sharon’s normal life before he was struck down by a life-threatening stroke that eventually put him into a vegetative state.   The first vascular attack occurred on the eve of the 19th of Kislev.  This threatening strike at the life of Sharon struck when Sharon and Shimon Peres were having lunch together.  As Dov Ben-Lieb said on Years of Awe blogsite, “The sword of the L-rd took aim.”

This coincidence of this meeting between Sharon and Peres and that cerebral vascular attack upon the Prime Minister did not pass unnoticed by the penetrating eyes of the secular Jewish journalist, Barry Chamish, who carefully watches every move of the Zionist government leaders in Jerusalem.

Barry Chamish (December 19, 2005 –Prime Minister Sharon shares drinks with Shimon Peres in the Knesset. Within half an hour, Sharon is driven to hospital unconscious. It took him a day before he could even spell his own name. He was brought into the hospital by his bodyguard, Yoram Rubin. As a good chunk of Israel knows today, it was the Peres-Rubin team that murdered Yitzhak Rabin. When Rubin was shown on television news accompanying Sharon's stretcher, suspicions spread throughout the country.

For two days, Sharon remained in hospital where he underwent intensive tests. We may ask, how did they miss the blood clot that struck Sharon barely two weeks later?  The timing of Sharon's latest stroke is uncanny. It occurred one day after he was implicated in an enormous scandal.”

Whereas in the public press, Sharon and Perez appear as two opposing political giants in the Israeli political spectrum, insiders assure us that they are close friends and see the political landscape of Israel’s future through the same telescope.  So this reality became even more apparent  when Ariel Sharon made a sudden left turn politically and vacated the party of his founding, the Likud Party.  Then he founded a new “centrist” party called the Katima Party. At the height of what appeared to becoming a new majority party, then along comes his “tag-along colleague”, Shimon Peres, the media favorite.  To Ben-Lieb, this new party is only a “new organ for the mixed multitude of Sinai’s insincere converts”, the Erev Rav, the final prophetic portrayal of the “mixed multitude” that came with the Israelis during the Exodus out of Egypt.

Surrounding the vascular attack upon Ariel Sharon was the new evidence that linked Sharon to a $3 Million Bribe from Martin Schlaff, a known Sharon friend and Austrian-Jewish businessman who had significant investments in Israel which included a Jericho casino that he needed political help in getting reopened.

Known as the “Cyril Kern Affair,” the pipeline for the illegal campaign-personal loan came from Sharon’s South African business associate, Cyril Kern.  According to the national media, the parents of Martin Schlaff lived in Israel yet due to the potential for arrest or detainment for investigation, Martin Schlaff did not return to the Land of Israel.  Then on December 21, 2005, James Schlaff, the brother to Martin came to visit.  The Israeli police raided Schlaff’s home and confiscated what was later revealed on January 3, 2006 to Channel 10 news reporter, Baruch Kra, as documents and two laptop computers.  Seeking a court order, the police were able to supposedly extricate the suspected “implicating” information of a bribe that was passed on to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon or his sons.  Within twenty four hours, the media was alive with what appeared to be a “career-ending scandal” when a life-threatening blood clot to Sharon’s brain sent him to the hospital

According to Israeli Journalist Barry Chamish,

Barry Chamish – “A live Sharon will have to face prosecution for the Kern-Schlaff bribes, even in Israel's thoroughly corrupt legal system. A dead Sharon will not have to face prosecution. And that would be just fine for the creme de la creme of the country's political leadership.  The first impression is that Sharon survived the first attempt on his life. In reaction, James Schlaff immediately flew to Israel with evidence to bring the prime minister down in scandal. Somehow, the police were tipped off and immediately confiscated the evidence. Once the investigation was done, the results were leaked to the media. On the day of the second stroke, the scandal spread fast, threatening to engulf many of the country's political elite in deep corruption. By 11 PM, Sharon was bleeding heavily from the throat and his prognosis was a living or real death.”

The Erev Rav: Shimon Peres, Ariel Sharon and Ehud Olmert

The Erev Rav – The Mixed Multitude

According to Rav Israel Solomon in his book, the Erev Rav that is reportedly “sensationally correct,” the Erev Rav are the anti-type or what is called as the gilgulim “(reincarnates or last days anti-type) of the Sons of Bilaam” who led the mixed multitude that were mingled with the Children of Israel in the desert to construct the Golden Calf.  According to the Christian translations of this story in Exodus 32, the “people” are stated to be the Children of Israel.  Not so, says Rav Solomon, the “people” were not the true Israelites but were actually the two sons of Balaam that stirred up the “mixed multitude” to murder Hur in the presence of his father, Aaron the high priest.  They then threatened the life of Aaron as a hostage that he must do as they dictated.  Then Aaron cried out to all the people, “tomorrow there will be a holy day to the L-rd".

According to the Oral Torah that was brought by the word of mouth only through the representatives that were the guardians of the written Holy Torah, Maggid of Kochav Yaakov Dov Ben-Lieb in the Travail of ‘The Shepherd’ continues this story:

Maggid of Kochav Yaakov Dov Ben-Lieb – “The two sons of Bilaam had other plans. Using the silver plate which brought Yosef’s coffin out of the Nile, on which was inscribed "Rise, bull rise", these two reprehensible men took the gold, which Aharon simply touched and had thrown into the smelter, and instantaneously formed through sorcery a golden calf. The entire purpose of the sordid affair in the eyes of Israel was that the purpose of serving G-d was to create prosperity. In the minds of the ex-slave nation Golden Calfprosperity was utopia.”

The Golden Calf from the Religious Epic, “The Ten Commandments”

Today the golden calf in exemplified best in the American culture as told in the article American Twilight written by Maggid Dov Ben-Lieb.  This corrupt culture has taken over the government of Israel today where Arial Sharon and Shimon Peres’ golden calf has given them their own golden nest egg as long as they guarantee to protect the interests and the assets of the United States and Europe and the assets of the members of the Council of Foreign Relations who own ninety percent of the industrial companies and news media in Israel today. As Ben Lieb stated, “These two sons of Bilaam were talking turkey over a scrumptious dinner when the sword struck.”

The Maggid of Kochav Yaakov continues in the analysis of Zechariah text:

Zechariah 13:7 – “Strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; then I will turn My hand against the little ones.”

As the Maggid writes:

Maggid of Kochav Yaakov Dov Ben-Lieb –Hach et HaRo’eh!" screams the next verse telling us very clearly that of the two men specifically the "Shepherd" should "be struck" or "have a stroke". "Let the flock disperse." This particular half of a verse can have two different meanings. The more obvious meaning is that those wayward Jews from the "mixed multitude" and those who get all of their information about the world around them from Israel’s "Does the world love us today" media will disperse from the Erev Rav’s new political party, Kadima, leaving the wretched refuse known as the Erev Rav with no mass following.

The other possible meaning could be bad news for yours truly here in Kochav Yakov. It could mean that all the places that Sharon built up will be made Judenrein ("Cleansed of Jews" denoting areas where all Jews had been either murdered or deported) for a short while until Yerushalayim (Jerusalem) is divided and the miraculous salvation commences.”

The next two verses in Zechariah suggest that Plan B will probably be the future of what we are seeing in the Land of Israel today. It is sad and sobering that we might be witnessing prophecy before our own eyes but most of Christianity is in their Laodicean experience, neither hot nor cold.  They are clueless that the streams of prophecy are sweeping our globe and that they may be the “elect” that may be deceived.  If the prophetic picture is correct, Laodicean Christians will not wake up until global catastrophes will rain down upon America and the rest of the world.

Revelation 3:14-22 – “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and

True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: ‘I know your works, that you neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.  So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ – and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and nakedI counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcome I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throneHe who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’”

We continue to the next verse from when the Lord called upon the angel to “strike the Shepherd” in the prophetic utterances of Zechariah.  The message to the Laodicean Church and the message to inhabitants in the land of Israel at the time of the end is the same“Buy of me gold tried in fire” will be the refinement of the Jewish people to their final spiritual state when their innocence has now been taken away from them.  Let us look at the response of the Jewish remnant “saints” and the response back to them by the Lord their God.

Zechariah 13:8 – “And it shall come to pass in all the land,” say the Lord, “that two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, but one-third shall be left in it: I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is testedThey will call on My Name and I will answer them.  I will say, “This is My people”; and each one will say, “The Lord is my God.”

Within the first day of assuming the mantle of Sharon, as Sharon vegetated on life-support, the acting Prime Minister Olmert made his first official decision as the public servant of Israel.  Here was Sharon’s main official of Israeli governance to push for the evacuation of 10,000 Jews from their home and privately held agrarian businesses in Gaza now on the first day of becoming the interim Prime Minister forced a tax on the charitable Jewish contributions from oversees (i.e. blankets and coats for the winter) for the settlers of Gush Katif.  The refugees of Gaza were now homeless, penniless, their only belongings in metal containers The Adoration of the Golden Calfunder government custody and evacuees in the Land of Israel.  It reminds us of their prophet:

The Golden Calf built by the Erev Rav (Mixed Multitude

Zechariah 11:4-8 (parts)Feed the flock for slaughter, whose owners slaughter them and feel no guilt; those who sell them say, ‘Blessed be the Lord, for I am rich’; and their shepherds do not pity them….I dismissed the three shepherds in one month. My soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me.”

This was the same God of Israel who said:

Zechariah 7:9-10 – “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Execute true justice, show mercy and compassion everyone to his brother.  Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor. Let none of you plan evil in his heart against his brother.’”

Then Maggid Dov Ben-Lieb adds:

Maggid of Kochav Yaakov Dov Ben-Lieb – “It is no accident that within days of Sharon’s incapacitating stroke, Gog W. comes out of his Fundamentalist Christian closet to divide Yerushalayim in such a public way. He can no longer hide behind the "Shepherd". His charade over Gush Katif was to pretend that it was Sharon’s idea and that he was like Pontius Pilate at the trial of Yesu.

Sorry Mr. Gog ben Gog. Some of us saw your ugly specter with a knife at the "Shepherd’s" jugular. I do not know what did it. Was it your threat to try him (Sharon) for War Crimes in the Hague if he did not play ball with the New World Order? Did your father threaten to not give him a star in the One Thousand Points of Light Foundation? Or did you get Israeli Atty. General Mazuz to convince Sharon that if he wants his sons to be recipients of their inheritance while they are not serving life sentences in prison, he should play ball?

If Sharon had played it smart, he would have released the goods on your arm twisting to Rev. Pat Robertson who would have reminded you during your final presidential campaign that G-d does not bless nations that curse Israel. Or, better yet, he would have released information on your arm twisting to Gary Bauer who would have slowed the Christian Coalition's "Get out the vote campaign" to a trickle. Or perhaps Sharon and you have the same boss, the great accusing angel (in Jewish rabbinic thought, the accusing angel was the “angel of Esau or Edom’) who wrestled with Ya’akov Avinu (Patriarch or Father Jacob). If this is the case, you will end up very soon before the same Judge that he has.”

With the passion of the Jewish people the reality of what the Erev Rav, the “mixed multitude”, has done to their country will be revealed.  How this reality will affect their lives has only begun.  Let us now learn about the teachings from a “hidden” Rav (teacher) in Israel on what the rabbabim are expecting will happen to their land and to the world around them.
