The Life of a Davidian in the Days of Herod the Great
Prince Jacob, known as Ya’akov ben Matthan, the father of the Prince of David Joseph the Carpenter, was appointed as the Patriarch of Jerusalem by King Herod the Great. He became the highest appointed official of the Jerusalem Patriarchate, and was called the “Prince of Israel”.
We have no idea where Prince Jacob and Cleopatra of Jerusalem lived with his family, except it is reasonable to assume that the highest appointed Jewish Davidian leader would be found living in the aristocratic residential district of Upper City Jerusalem, near the Temple Mount region and the Temple of Zerubabbel.

In the era of King Herod the Great (37-4 BCE), the elders of Israel, the members of the Great Sanhedrin, the families of the High Priest, and the Sadducees family of Boethus, the elite and appointed family of Zadok the high priest of King David lived, according to scholars in the Upper City. It was here we believe that governing Princes of David also lived. They were still trying to accommodate a life within the Jewish leadership in a changing world from the Hasmonean era of Jewish priest-kings to the emerging era of the foreign Idumean Herodians. Today, this district has now been archeologically uncovered, and preserved 10 to 22 feet below modern street level in the Wohl Archeological Museum in the Jewish Quarter of Old Jerusalem.

The Era that the Family of Patriarch Ya’akov ben Matthan (Jacob son of Matthan) Lived
We must first gain a sweeping view of the family of Patriarch Jacob, known as Ya’akov ben Matthan, his two wives, Jewish Princess Euchariah and Cleopatra of Jerusalem (Egyptian Princess Cleopatra VIII), plus their children, Princess Miriam, the only child by Jacob’s first Jewish wife, Euchariah, and Prince Joseph the Carpenter with his two younger twin brothers, Prince Ptolas and Prince Clopas, by Cleopatra of Jerusalem. In the era of 32 to 23 BCE, the early formation era of the Herodian era brought a vibrant change under a new era of Roman peace with the vigilant supervision of the Roman client king, King Herod the Great. During this era, the Boethus family of the senior lineage of the High Priestly family of the House of Zadok had now returned in the year of 36 BCE. They restored the temple dynastic rule of the divinely appointed high priests of Israel.
This was the era, when Herod the Idumean governor of Galilee was catapulted into the covetous role of becoming the Roman Senate nominated “King of the Jews” in the year of 40 BCE. Jerusalem was captured by King Herod the Great in 37 BCE, and toppled the usurping 128 year rule of the Maccabee Jewish dynasty of priest-kings. They were a Zadokian family of priests but not the appointed senior lineage. They were Levite priests and therefore not Princes of David that carried the genetic royal legacy of King David through his son, King Solomon and the non-royal legacy through his older brother, Prince Nathan, by their mother, the love of King David’s life, Queen Bathsheba. King Antigonas was executed by beheading under the orders of the Roman Triumvir Mark Anthony, and Queen Alexandra II was placed in “house arrest” in the Palace of King Herod.

Here in the Upper City of “New Jerusalem”, are discovered today the ruins of five palatial homes, which give a remarkable portrayal of the life and times of the emerging international status of Herod’s Jerusalem in the globalist imperial world of Rome. Octavian was now the eminent Caesar Augustus. The era of Pax Romana was just beginning and Jerusalem was the central fulcrum or the bread basket of this emerging one world order.

First came Pompey the Great in the 60s BCE, then came Julius Caesar in the 50s BCE. After the assassination of Caesar in 44 BCE, the Roman Triumvir Mark Anthony with his ever present lover, the Ptolemaic ruler, Cleopatra VII globalist views affected the land of Israel in the 40s BCE. Finally on August 12, 30 BCE, with the famous dual suicide of Pharaoh Cleopatra VII of Egypt and Mark Anthony of Rome left Octavian (Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus) as the sole ruler of Rome.
Each one of these homes gave a 2,000 year old vignette of wealthy aristocratic Jewish life. Surprising as it may seem, this was the heritage of Prince Joseph the Carpenter, who later became the adoptive father of the Jewish rabbi, whom Christians call Jesus of Nazareth. Princes of David they were. To fail to understand this, removes a whole spectrum of understanding of which the family of Jesus were as Davidian princes in the complex life in the temple era of the Second Temple of Zerubabbel and the rebuilt Temple of King Herod. The Princes of David were honored, respected, and revered, for they were the hope of all Jews. Out of the loins of one of these Davidian princes would someday come the “Chosen One”, the promised Messiah of Israel (Maschiach Yisra’el). How the world of Prince Joseph changed from making him an elite prince in the economic powerhouse of the emerging Roman Empire to a hunted pauper prince struggling to make ends meet as a Galilean carpenter is a story that is only emerging.

Yet, here was the home district of Upper Jerusalem where the political, religious Jewish leadership and bureaucrats involved with the social welfare programs and the religious political interactions between the Jews and the Herodian lived and played. These homes were well appointed with inner courtyards for fountains and gardens, and reception areas with fine maze-pattern mosaics on the floor and splendid Roman frescoes on the walls. Here were found costly glassware, well appointed ceramic pottery, and stone objects used by the richest families of Jerusalem.
Included in these wealthy Jewish elite were the family of Jesus; His paternal grandfather, the Patriarch of Jerusalem Jacob ben Matthan (32-23 BCE), His paternal grandmother, Cleopatra of Jerusalem (30-23 BCE), the posthumous daughter of Queen Cleopatra VII of Egypt and Julius Caesar, the Dictator of Rome. Jesus’ maternal grandfather, Prince Alexander III Helios (the biblical Heli), was heir to the vanquished Hasmonean dynasty of Jewish priest-kings and now a Jewish metal merchant magnate who with his half-brother, the Roman appointed Decurion Joseph of Arimathea, controlled the strategic military metals of the tin, antimony and lead mining industry in Cornwall England. His maternal grandmother, Hannah, was the oldest daughter of the Yeshua III (Jesus III) ben Phabet, the High Priest of Israel.

The largest excavated home, called the “Palatial Mansion”, was estimated to have been a mansion with a floor space area over 6,000 square feet. Here, in what many scholars suspect was possibly the long sought home of the high priest, which may have been the site of the residence of the High Priest Yeshua III (Jesus III) ben Phabet, who we have today linked to be the grandfather of Miriam (Mary) the mother of Jesus (Yehoshua). Though a common name, is it not remarkable that Jesus was named after his own great grandfather, Jesus III, the high priest of Israel?
Descending down below arched passageways were found cisterns that collected rain water that was critical for the maintenance of the mikvah (mikva’ot) Jewsh ritual baths that were used in the purification rituals before ascending to the temple services closeby. Also in the same region of the house were bathrooms and pools. Overhead was evidence of charred ceiling beams, scorched mosaic floors that all bore silent testimony of the final conflagration of the Roman soldiers torching these neighborhoods late in the summer of 70 CE exactly one month after the Temple of Herod had been destroyed to its foundation. In the 1970s, exactly nineteen centuries later, the descendants of these Jerusalemites uncovered the evidence of the Roman destruction that inspired the chief archaeologist Nahman Avigad to exclaimed, “we could almost smell the burning and feel the heat of the flames.”

The Great Shmittah Year Famine of 24 BCE
A decade of building and establishing a new dynastic regime had gone by. It was actually the thirteenth year of King Herod’s rule (24 BCE) a great famine swept across the entire regions of the Middle East. The affect upon the people in the land of Judea was equally catastrophic and serves also as a “prophetic window” of our future when famine will once again sweep the world.
Flavius Josephus – “Now on this very year…very great calamities came upon the country…for, in the first place, there were perpetual droughts, and for that reason the ground was barren, and did not bring forth the same quantity of fruits that it used to produce and after this barrenness of the soil, that change of good which the want of corn occasioned, produced distempers in the bodies of men and a pestilential disease prevailed, one misery following upon the back of another…” (Josephus, Antiquities, XV, ix, 2, page 330)

The editor of the “The Complete Works of Josephus”, William Winston A.M., specifically noted that this famine came during the seventh Shmittah year of the Sabbatical Week of Years that was also the Year of Jubilees. As written:
William Winston A.M. – “This famine for two years that affected Judea and Syria seems to have been more terrible during this time than was that in the days of Jacob (Genesis xli, xlii). …It is also well worth our observation here, that these two years were a Sabbatic Year and a Year of Jubilee, for which Providence, during the theocracy, used to provide a triple crop beforehand; but which became now, when the Jews had forfeited that blessing, the greatest years of famine to them every since the days of Ahab.” (Josephus, Antiquities, XV, ix, 2, page 330)
During those two years, King Herod, to his credit, spent huge fortunes of his own to purchase grain for his own people, and even the neediest, he had bakers make bread to be made especially for them. He purchased wool for winter clothing for his subjects and even provided food assistance to the Syrians who were also in great distress because of the famine. Yet, all this was done, “to wipe off that old hatred which his violation of some of their customs, during his reign, had procured him among all the nations, and …it procured him great fame among foreigners; and it looked as if these calamities that afflicted his land to a degree plainly incredible, came in order to raise his glory, and to be to his great advantage: for the greatness of his liberality in these distresses, which he now demonstrated beyond all expectation, did so change the disposition of the multitude toward him…” (Ibid, page 330)

With King Herod now in complete control, the winds of changes blew rapidly and deadly over the family of Jesus. The Patriarch of Jerusalem, Jacob ben Matthan and his Egyptian aristocratic wife of Egyptian and Roman royal bloodlines, Cleopatra of Jerusalem, had now lived seven years in Upper City Jerusalem, between the years of 30 to 23 BCE. The stresses upon the Jewish society also produced stresses upon the Jewish Patriarchate in Jerusalem as the famine swept through the Middle East. The Jewish experience never was one of just physical and literal distress but a spiritual and existential distress also came for this famine came on the seventh Shmittah year, when the land of Israel was not cultivated and remained fallow. With the free time, the entire Jewish population was expecting the freedom to be resting and studying the Torah while using the extra-bountiful harvests that evoked the blessings of God. The presence of a great famine, in the seventh year of a Sabbatical week of years, only expressed to them the extreme displeasure of their God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. A time of Jacob’s trouble had now come. Would the messiah also come at this time? The pressure upon the Jewish leadership was extreme, and for Princes of David, it only meant that rise of the kingship of Herod the Great came with the great displeasure of the Almighty. The land was ripe for revolt and sedition against the throne of King Herod.
It was the next year after the great famine in the year of 23 BCE that Jacob the Patriarch of Jerusalem was executed by King Herod the Great for sedition against the Herodian throne. His wife of eight years, Cleopatra of Jerusalem survived Jacob as his widow. Shortly after Jacob’s death, Cleopatra was given by Herod the Great to the High Priest of Israel, Simon V Boethus to be his wife. The official decree of Ezra the Scribe appeared now to be null and void, as the High Priest of Israel was now the husband of a foreign or pagan wife.
23 BCE - The Year of Love, Passion, and Calamity
It is of interest that the year of the death of the Patriarch of Jerusalem Jacob was the same year that King Herod fell in love with the “most beautiful woman in Jerusalem”, Mariamme II, the daughter of the son of Boethus the High Priest, who was called Simon IV Boethus. In an act of political gerrymandering, King Herod ousted, demoted, or executed the High Priest Yeshua III, who was the grandfather of the future “temple virgin” Mary (Miriam) the mother of Yehoshua (Jesus) and promoted Simon IV Boethus instead to the office of the High Priest. It appears that in an astute act of installing fear of his supreme authority, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Ya’akov (Jacob) ben Matthan was executed by King Herod. His grieving wife, Cleopatra of Jerusalem, was then given to the new High Priest to be his wife. The motivations of these subterranean acts of political terror have yet to be uncovered but the path of treachery by the Herodian monarch was evident in its starkest details.
Prince Joseph was only about six years old when his father, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Jacob ben Mattan was executed, in the year of 23 BCE. The winds of change were appearing ominous. One by one, the princes of David were disappearing from the Judean landscape. In that same year, 23 BCE, the High Priest of Israel, Yeshua III (Jesus III), also disappeared. Four years later (19 BCE) it appeared that the fates of the Princes of David and the High Priests of Israel were heading down the same treacherous pathways. Yeshua III’s successor, Simon V Boethus, was executed also for sedition as the progressive paranoia of the Herodian Patriarchal ruler eliminated anyone he suspected of treason, subversion or sedition to his throne.

It had been only eighteen years (37 BCE) since Herod, in the height of the military escalation for the final assault in the “Battle for Jerusalem” that he made the audacious and brilliant strategic move to invite the High Priest family of Boethus to return from the region of Alexandria, Egypt where at the Temple of Onias in Leontopolis this Zadokian family was serving the God of Israel in a Jewish temple on the Egyptian landscape. The father of Simon IV, Boethus ben Hanannel the Egyptian arrived in Jerusalem, along with his brother, Camithus (Camydus) and sister (name unknown).
Boethus was quickly inaugurated as the 56th High Priest of Israel. The old order of the usurping Hasmonean priest-kings, a non-high priestly branch of the House of Zadok the High Priest, were now about to fade into history. King Antigonus (40-37 BCE), the last of the Maccabean Priest-Kings was executed in the year of 37 BCE. The Boethus family arrived in Jerusalem that same year.
As we note, it was in the year of 23 BCE that King Herod the Great had Jacob ben Mattan "killed for sedition". Had the Patriarch of Jerusalem, who initially was given by Octavian, the future Caesar Augustus, the unwanted seventeen year old daughter of Queen Cleopatra VII, the last Pharaoh of Egypt and Julius Caesar the Dictator of Rome, now threatening to become a rival to the throne of Herod the Great? Yet, at this same year, the mercurial behavior of Herod the Great was swinging from his passionate love affair with the daughter of a Sion of the Zadokian high priest family to treacherously assassinating any person in the power elite of Jerusalem that he felt was threatening his throne. Josephus gives apt insight into this behavior in the paragraph following his description of the arrival of the entire Patriarchal House of Boethus and its entourage of seven brothers and their families to Judea.
Flavius Josephus – “And now, when all Herod’s designs had succeeded according to his hopes, he had not the least suspicion that any troubles could arise in his kingdom, because he kept his people obedient, as well by the fear they stood in of him, for he was implacable in the infliction of his punishments, as by the provident care he had shown towards them, after the most magnanimous manner, when they were under their distresses; but still he took care to have external security for his government , as a fortress against his subjects; of the orations he made to the cities were very fine, and full of kindness; and he cultivated a seasonable good understanding with their governors, and bestowed presents on every one of them inducing them thereby to be more friendly to him and using his magnificent disposition so as his kingdom might be better secured to him, and this till all his affairs were every way more and more augmented. But then, this magnificent temper of his, and that submissive behaviour and liberality which he exercised towards Caesar, and the most powerful men of Rome, obliged him to transgress the customs of his nation, and to set aside many of their laws…” (Josephus, Antiquities, XV, ix, 5)

The family of Jacob, Joseph, and Jesus knew the treachery of King Herod only so personally. The orthodox Christian understanding of the life of Jesus of Nazareth is that He lived a life totally divorced from the politics of Judea and Rome, a historical understanding his family and their prominence in the mainstream culture of Judean life, suggests a different story. When we learn of the family of Prince Jacob and Joseph in the Gospel of Matthew, the lineages with its additional genealogical addition of ancestors gives greater depth to historical Jesus (Yehoshua). Let us first look at the reNewed Testament (Brit Hadassah) lineage of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew as introduced in Chapter One, “The Royal Davidian Ancestors of Yehoshua”.

The second part of the Matthew lineage continues from King Jeconiah through the Babylonian captivity to his grandson, Zerubabbel, the prince of Israel in Persia. This was the Biblical Zerubabbel, who took the first “return of the Jews” back to the land of Judah from their land of captivity in Babylon-Persia and became the first Persian governor in Judea. This was also the same Zerubabbel who became the progenitor ancestor of all the royal Davidian lineages to this date. One of these, the Matthew Lineage, became the Babylonian-Jewish lineage. This Lineage went directly to Joseph and Cleopas, sons of Jacob ben Matthan.

The Missing Ancestors in Jesus’ Matthew Lineage
With the historical research of the genealogical records of antiquity, the Davidic Dynasty Genealogies by Antiquities Genealogist David Hughes has now weaved together the tapestry of the missing ancestors into Jesus’ ancestral past. In the textual references of the records as given by the Apostle Matthew, Prince Abiud, the 51st generation from King David, was the son of Zerubabbel, the Governor of Judea. Yet, the genealogical researchers have now pieced into this ancestral tree an additional nine Princes of David, from Zerubabbel to Abiud. Let us look at this new evidence.
Zerubbabel ben Shealtiel 50 (Prince of Israel the father of; à
Shazrezzar ben Zerubbabel was Prince Zerubabbel’s oldest son by his 1st Babylonian wife, Princess, Amytis. Shazrezzar had three sons;
Hacaliah ben Shazrezzar was the oldest son of Prince Shazrezzar, who became the father of two sons;
Governor Nehemiah ben Hacaliah was sent to Judea by the Persian Shah Artaxerses to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and;
Hananiah (Hanani) ben Hacaliah was the brother of Governor Nehemiah.
Hur ben Shazrezzar was the second son of Prince Shazrezzar, and became the father of;
Rephaiah ben Hur who became the father of;
Uri ben Rephaiah
Halohesh ben Shazrezzar was the third son of Prince Shazrezzar who became the father of;
Shallum ben Halohesh became the father of several daughters.
Here we see that the Governor Nehemiah was of the same Abiudite Family Lineage that would eventually bring us to Prince Jacob and Prince Joseph, the foster grandfather and father of Jesus (Yehoshua). In the histories reconstructed, the young Zerubabbel was introduced to his Babylonian bride sometime during the reign of the Babylonian King Evil-Merodach, who in the histories of the Jews, the Seder Olam Rabbah, ruled for twenty two years. He died two years before the fall of Babylon that was ruled under King Evil-Merodach’s son, King Belshazzar. During these years, Prince Shazrezzar was born. It is possible that even Prince Hacaliah, the grandson of Zerubabbel was born in Babylon and was a young man, when his grandfather, Zerubabbel took the first wave of Jews in their Great Aliyah, the “Return to the land of Israel”.
What is known, Prince Nehemiah was a Babylonian born Jew, who because of his great ancestry and impeccable honor and honesty became the chief advisor (cupbearer) to the Persian Shah whose sovereign name in the bible was King Artaxerses (King of the Land called Artaxerses). In a reconstructed history of Persia and Judea, using the chronology of the Jews, the second and third wave of returning Jews to the land of Babylon under Ezra the Scribe and later Governor Nehemiah were contemporaneous to Shazrezzar, the son of Zerubabbel, the governor who died about the year of 510 BCE (conventional historical time).
Zerubabbel, the governor, who became the father of;
Hacaliah ben Shazrezzar became the father of one of the Jews most famous “Sons”, the Governor of Judea Nehemiah.
Nehemiah ben Hacaliah was sent to Judea by the Persian Shah Artaxerses to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. He became the father of a;
Son, whose Name is Unknown

Nuri ben Hachiyah (Achiya) who became the father of;
Yehezquiyah (Androtimus) ben Nuri who became the father of;
Neariah (Nearchus) ben Yehezquiyah (Androtimus) who became the father of:
Several Sons, one of whom became the father of the Ancestral Father of the Abiud Lineage of Prince of David.
Abiud ben ben Neariah (Nearchus) married a “foreign” Princess Barsine, who according to the Davidic Dynasty, descended from the Persian shahs, Babylonian emperors, Assyrian kings, and whose blood-lines she brought into the Abiudite Line of the Jewish royal house. Abiud within the Biblical genealogy of the Gospel of Matthew is called Abiud ben Zerubbabel (Abiud the son of Zerubabbel). He became the Governor of Judea about the year of 250 BCE and became the father of;
Eliakim ben Abiud 52 was the son of Prince Abiud, and became the 35th Abiudite Persian-Jewish Governor of Judea about the year of 200 BCE. He became the father of; à

The Lineages of the Descendants of Matthan ben Eliezar
The father of Prince Jacob ben Matthan the Patriarch of Jerusalem was Matthan ben Eleazar. He was married to a Jewess by the name of Hazibah. Together they had three sons; Jacob the Patriarch, Hezekiah the Zealot, and Menahem the Zealot.
The lives of these three sons of Matthan appeared to be lived in direct conflict with each other; one an appointee of Herod the Great, Jacob the Patriarch, the husband of the daughter of the notorious Queen of Egypt, Cleopatra, and the two other brothers, Prince Hezekiah and Prince Menahem, according to Josephus, were the archetypical “Zealots” or freedom fighters of Jewish nationalism. They all appeared to share common ideals that the God of Israel alone was the ruler over Israel which eventually caused them to share similar fates; death by military resistance or political execution for treason

Hizkiah (Hezekiah, or Ezekias) ben Matthan called “the Zealot” was a Davidian claimant to the throne of King David and a right-wing freedom fighter against Rome and the Herodian state of Judea. He was captured and executed in 4 BCE. Hizkiah was the father of three sons; Judas, Menahem, and Jacob.
Judas the Zealot, who was known to be from “Galilee”, took over as command of his father’s, Hezekiah’s guerrilla-army of Jewish freedom resistance fighters. They were not only called the “Zealots” but Judas the Zealot was reputed to have been the official founder of the Jewish Zealots. It was after the death of King Herod in the year of 4 BCE, that Judas launched his revolt. One of their first acts of rebellion was to assault the Roman armory at the fortress at Sepphoris and there provided the weapons for his militia fighters. According to Hughes, Judas was killed early in the revolt and two of his seven sons were captured. They were crucified along with 2000 Jewish freedom fighters on the crosses that dotted the landscape surrounding the burning city of Sepphoris while the rest of the population of Sepphoris was carried off to captivity or massacred by the invading Roman forces. Judas was the father of seven sons; Jacob, Simon, Menahem, Jair, Levi, Saphath, and Sosas.
Jacob the oldest son of Judas the Zealot, along with his brother, Prince Simon were imprisoned. They were executed on “trumped up charges” in the year of 47 CE by Tiberius Julius Alexander several years after Rabbi Gamaliel’s statement that Judas the Zealot was a failed “messiah”. Simon V Bar-Kochba became the rebel-king and the patriot leader of the Jewish people when he took the title of “king” in the year of 132 CE. As a member of the most prominent family of Zealots that extended back to Hezekiah the Zealot, he proclaimed the “Jewish independence” and the founding father of the Jewish kingdom. With the assumption of the mantle of the “Messiah of the Jews” he changed his name to “Bar Kokba” or the “son of the star” in reference to Numbers 24:17 mention of “the star”. The temple site was prepared for its new construction, coins were minted and a Jewish bureaucracy was formed. He led the Jewish defense in several battles against the Rome until his final defeat by the Roman in 135 CE when he and his sons were executed. This Davidian Lineage became Extinct.

Menahem, in the year of King Herod Agrippa II’s death in the year of 66 CE, made the bid to restore the Dynasty and Throne of David as the anti-king in the years of 66-67 CE. He and all his sons were killed. This Davidian lineage became Extinct.
Jair became the father of three sons; Menahem, Eleazar the Zealot, and Simon.
Menahem, whose descendants are not known.
Eleazar the Zealot became a Jewish
resistance leader at Masada during the years of 67 to 70-73 CE. All his sons were killed
with him at Masada.
Simon who died about the year
of 68-69 CE.
Levi was the father of three sons; John of Giscala, Simon, and Jude.
John of Giscala (Gischala) was a Jewish general during the years of 66-70 CE. He was executed in the year of 73 CE.
Simon who died about the year of 68-69 CE.
Jude whose life and descendants are not known.
Saphath (Sapphia) became the father of;
Jesus, who as a Jewish general was executed about the year of 68 CE.
Sosas became the father of;
Jacob who was killed about 68-69 CE.
Menahem ben Hezekiah who became the father of;
Hananiah (Ananiah), who became the father of:
Eleazar, a Jewish general.
Jacob ben Hezekiah who became the father of;
Uri, whose descendants are not known.
Eleazar whose
Hur who became the father of;
Judas “Ben Hur” was taken captive to Italy by the Roman General Titus. Here was the gladiator of “Ben Hur” fame who became the father of;
Attai became the ancestor of the Princes of Oria, a noble medieval Italian family, whose family lineage is now extinct in the male line.
Eleazar was the first brother of Jacob ben Hezekiah.
Uri was the second brother of Jacob ben Hezekiah.
Judas of Gamala ben Matthan called “the Galilean” was the youngest brother of the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Jacob ben Matthan. As the youngest of three brothers, who were royal Davidian claimants to the Jewish throne, he followed in the footsteps, after the death of his brother, Hezekiah and became the leader of the Jewish right-wing freedom fighters against Rome. He was captured and executed in 6 CE. Judas of Gamala called “the Galilean” became the father of five sons; Abbas, Joseph of Gamala, Ptolomy or Thomas, Kathla, and Adnan.
Abbas was the father of the Jewish royal claimant called;
Leonardo DaVinci’s “The Last Supper”
“Barabbas” was the rebel that was chosen by the servants and agents of the High Priests Ananias and Caiphas instead of Jesus the Nazarene at the Porch of the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate’s house, in the year of 30 CE. It is of interest that Jesus the Messiah (Yehoshua HaMaschiach) was the third cousin of “Barabbas”. Barabbas died without issue and his lineage became extinct.
Joseph of Gamala became a Davidian claimant who was killed in the year of 65 CE. He was the father of;
Jesus Bar-Joseph of Gamala who died about the years of 68-69 CE. Here, according to David Hughes, is the mysterious “Jesus” of “The Da Vinci Code” who was initially mis-identified by the authors of “The Holy Blood, Holy Grail”, as the purported descendants of the marriage between Jesus of Nazareth and Mary of Magdala. Like Barabbas, Jesus Bar-Joseph of Gamala was a third cousin to Jesus the Nazarene (Yehoshua HaNotzri). He became the parent of;
Judah was the ancestral forefather of a medieval European noble house. He became the father of;
Tamar, a daughter, who married a Roman Senator called Paullus Maximus. They were the parents of;
Sarah, a daughter.
Ptolomy (Tholomi or Thomas) who died about 44-46 CE, became the father of;
Nathanaeol Bar Tholomi (Bartholomew) who was killed about the year of 68 CE, and was the father of;
Judas, who became the ancestor of Pelagius the Heretic and the Pelagian Heresy the year 325 CE.
Kathla was the father of;
Simon who died about 68-69 CE and became the father of five sons, de Pomis, Adolescentoli, Anaw (Degli Mansi), Degi Piatelli, and de Rossi. They were taken captive to Rome by the Roman general Titus, and there assimilated into the Italian culture becoming the ancestral forefathers of five noble Italian families.
Adnan was the Jewish Prince of David, who David Hughes suspects became known as the Arabian Prince Adnan, upon who was attached an Ishmaelite pedigree, that chose to assimilate into the Arabic culture. His descendants became one of the rulers of Arabia.
When it comes to the historical records of the Temple of Herod era, there are no other Davidian families that were more active in the Gamala and Galilee Jewish Resistance Movements than the descendants of the great grandfather of Jesus the Nazarene (Yehoshua HaNotzri), the Prince of David Matthan ben Levi of Gamala. Here we enter the life of the Jewish Zealot, the defenders of the Temple of Zerubabbel and Herod, the sanctity of the city of Jerusalem, the preservation of the Torah and the independence and freedom to live the life of Torah as prescribed by the God of Israel from the Mount called Sinai and demonstrated by the holy men of their ancient ancestors.

Message from BibleSearchers
BibleSearchers scans the world for information that has relevance on the time of the end. It is our prayer that this will allow the believers in the Almighty One of Israel to “watch and be ready”. Our readiness has nothing to do trying to halt the progression of evil on our planet earth. In our readiness, we seek to be prepared for the coming of the Messiah of Israel so that goodness and evil will be manifested in its fullest. Our preparation is a pathway of spiritual readiness for a world of peace. Our defender is the Lord of hosts. The time of the end suggests that the Eternal One of Israel’s intent is to close out this chapter of earth’s history so that the perpetrators of evil, those that seek power, greed and control, will be eliminated from this planet earth. The wars of the heavens are being played out on this planet earth and humans will live through it to testify of the might, power, justice and the love of the God of Israel. In a world of corruption and disinformation, we cannot always know what the historical truth is and who is promoting evil or mis-information. We cannot guarantee our sources but we will always seek to portray trends that can be validated in the Torah and the testimony of the prophets of the Old and the New Testament.
